From October 2007 through May 2008 Brett Jacques, a multi award winning professional photographer, travelled throughout Australia, photographing children under two years of age in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Launceston, Perth and Melbourne. He travelled over 20,000 kilometres and took over 13,000 pictures - this book shows the highlights of those photography sessions.
This book is so much more than a book of pictures; it is a stunningly beautiful record of children from around Australia as seen through the camera lens of an artist – Brett Jacques. This book is a fund raising project for and on behalf of SIDS and Kids, Victoria.
There is a total of 78 girls and 79 boys appearing in this book (by sheer chance not by management!); there are 4 sets of twins, 5 sets of brothers and sisters who are not twins and a further 7 cousins that we know of, plus there are 3 babies under one month old...
